Who is behind this site

Bangkok Ladle is a family-run Thai restaurant at 15333 Sherman Way, Ste B, Van Nuys, CA 91406 in Van Nuys, California. This page describes what our website records about the people who visit it. It does not cover what happens once you place an order — that part is explained below under Chowbus.

If a question about your information is not answered here, email bangkokladle@gmail.com and a person at the restaurant will answer.

What the website records

Our own pages do not ask you to type anything in. The information below is gathered automatically by Google Analytics so we can tell which dishes people look at and whether the ordering buttons are useful.

• Pages you open

  Each time a page opens, our site sends Google the page address, the page title, and the full web address shown in your browser.

• Taps on ordering buttons

  When you tap a Chowbus ordering button, our site sends the button's wording (up to 80 characters), the page it was on, and the Chowbus link. We do not see what you do on Chowbus.

• Information Google gathers itself

  Google's tag also reads standard browser details, such as device and browser type, screen size, and the page you came from.

• A masked network address

  GA4 shortens your network address (your IP address) as the visit is sent, so Google sees a general area rather than your full address.

• A browser identifier

  Google stores cookies whose names start with “_ga” to recognize repeat visits from the same browser. This identifier is not your name, but privacy laws may treat it as personal information.

We use these reports to see which pages and buttons people use. We do not try to identify individual visitors.

What we do not collect

• No accounts or logins — this site never asks you to sign up.
• No forms — we do not take reservations, messages, or newsletter sign-ups here.
• No payment details — card numbers never touch our website.
• Our site does not send your name, email, or phone number to Google Analytics.
• No personal information sold to anyone.

Google Analytics and your opt-out

We use Google Analytics (GA4). Google receives the information above and processes it under its own terms and policies.

Other companies can also see something about your visit. The “_ga” cookies that let Google recognize your browser are not limited to this site — the same identifier can be read on other websites that use Google Analytics, so Google may be able to connect visits made from this browser across those sites over time. We do not add our own tracking pixels or advertising cookies, and we do not pass your visit on to any company other than Google.

If you turn analytics off with the control below, this browser saves your choice. From then on our site does not load Google Analytics, sends no page or button events, and removes the “_ga” cookies it can reach. The page reloads once so any tag that was already running stops. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, analytics stays off automatically.

Limits: the choice applies only to this browser on this device. Clearing site storage or using another browser or device means choosing again. Turning analytics off does not delete information Google already received, and it does not affect Chowbus or our web fonts.

Our pages load their fonts from Google's servers, so Google sees your network address when those files load, even if analytics is off.

How long we keep it

We checked these two retention settings in our own Google Analytics account on November 2, 2026:

• Detailed activity records (event data) are kept for a maximum of 2 months.
• Browser cookie identifiers (user data) are automatically deleted after 14 months.

After those periods pass, Google removes the records automatically. We do not have a separate copy of them.

What we never do with your visit

These are settings we chose and checked ourselves, not assumptions about Google:

• Every data-sharing option with Google's own products is switched off in our Google Analytics account, so your visit data is never shared for advertising, benchmarking, or Google technical support.
• Your network address (IP address) is masked and shortened by GA4 as the visit is sent, so your full address is never stored on disk.
• We do not send Google your name, email, or phone number.
• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Masking your address still lets Google place your visit in a general area — that is how “which towns our visitors come from” gets reported — but it does not give Google or us your full address.

Orders and payments go through Chowbus

Every “Order Online” button on this site opens Chowbus, the dedicated ordering system our restaurant uses. The moment you leave our website, Chowbus processes your order on our behalf.

We never see or store your credit card details, and our website is not involved in processing your payment. Because they handle this data on their platform, your information is governed by their rules. You can review how they protect and manage your data by reading the Chowbus Privacy Policy.

If you order through a delivery marketplace instead of our ordering link, that marketplace collects and handles your information under its own privacy policy, not this one. For questions about what it keeps, or a request to change or remove your record there, contact the marketplace directly — we do not hold those details.
